Cold & hot forging materials
Material selection starts with your forming process
We review bars and cut blanks around your forming route and downstream operations, with a focus on cold forging materials (CFQ). CFQ Solid is our differentiated, patent-based material solution for integral-yoke production.

Product & application
A grade name alone does not define a forging material. Cold forming requires review of hardness, ductility, spheroidized structure and surface condition. Hot forging requires review of material soundness, heating, decarburization controls and downstream heat treatment. We work from your drawing and process to define the delivery condition.
- Supply forms
- Straight bars · cut blanks · drawing-based material
- Application examples
- Integral steering yokes, cold-forged components and material review for hot-forged machine parts

These are specification inputs for quotation review. Actual availability, minimum quantity and lead time are confirmed by grade and size.
- Condition & surface
- Cold/hot forming route, hardness, spheroidized structure and coating
- Dimensions & order
- Stock diameter, blank length and weight criteria
- Inspection & documents
- Specify mill certificates, tests, traceability and customer approvals. Document availability, cost and timing are reviewed.
CFQ Solid: a focused solution for integral yokes
This differentiated product uses three patents for integral-yoke bar manufacturing, with a process reduced from nine stages to seven. Its suitability is reviewed separately from general forging materials.

Representative grades & review scope
| Family | Representative grades / review basis |
|---|---|
| Carbon steel | S20C · S35C · S45C · S50C |
| Alloy steel | SCM415 · SCM420 · SCM435 · SCM440 |
| H steels (guaranteed hardenability) | SCr415H · SCr420H · SCM415H · SCM420H · SCM435H · SCM440H |
| Other grades | Sourcing reviewed through domestic and overseas makers, based on the required standard and chemistry |
Grades and forms are inquiry examples. Inventory, availability, dimensions, quantity, inspections and lead time are confirmed at quotation.
JIS names are used as a reference. They do not automatically establish equivalence to other standards or certification. Agree the applicable standard, edition and product requirements before ordering.
H steels are structural steels supplied with a guaranteed hardenability band (Jominy test) under JIS G 4052 (KS D 3754 equivalent), used for gears, shafts and other parts that need consistent heat-treatment response.
