Stainless steel · specialty sourcing
A sourcing route for requirements beyond routine stock
From general stainless to grades selected for machinability, wear resistance or heat-treatment response, we review sourcing against your specification. We also consider dimensions, shapes and delivery conditions that are difficult to obtain through routine distribution.

Product & application
JIS grade names provide the starting point for discussion, not an automatic equivalence between standards. We compare chemistry limits, product standards, heat treatment and mechanical requirements, then review sourcing against the customer approval criteria. We also clarify priorities between machinability and corrosion resistance, or hardness and toughness.
- Supply forms
- Round · hexagonal · square · wire · special sizes by inquiry
- Application examples
- Precision shafts, pins, valve parts, automatic-lathe components and corrosion/wear-resistant parts
Define the supply conditions.
These are specification inputs for quotation review. Actual availability, minimum quantity and lead time are confirmed by grade and size.
- Condition & surface
- Delivery treatment, hardness, structure and surface roughness
- Dimensions & order
- Section dimensions, tolerance, straightness and minimum order review
- Inspection & documents
- Specify mill certificates, tests, traceability and customer approvals. Document availability, cost and timing are reviewed.
Specialty sourcing begins with a complete specification
Listed grades are inquiry examples, not a statement of inventory or immediate availability. Manufacturability, minimum quantity, testing and lead time are confirmed after specification review.
Representative grades & review scope
| Family | Representative grades / review basis |
|---|---|
| General corrosion resistance | SUS304 · SUS304L · SUS316 · SUS316L |
| Machining-oriented grades | SUS303 · SUS416 · SUS420F · SUS430F |
| Hardening and wear review | SUS420J1 · SUS420J2 · SUS440C |
| Precipitation hardening | SUS630 |
| Other grades | Sourcing reviewed through domestic and overseas makers, based on the required standard and chemistry |
Grades and forms are inquiry examples. Inventory, availability, dimensions, quantity, inspections and lead time are confirmed at quotation.
JIS names are used as a reference. They do not automatically establish equivalence to other standards or certification. Agree the applicable standard, edition and product requirements before ordering.
